Kundasang War Memorial

10 minutes from Kinabalu Park.. There is a war memorial building. Kundasang War Memorial building, Sabah was initiated in 1962 together with the Kinabalu Park by a New Zealander working with Shell Oil Company. The Memorial was erected with a competition winning entry design by resident architect J.C. Robinson.
Kundasang Memorial Park was built as a tribute to 1787 Australians and 641 British prisoners died at, or between, Sandakan and Ranau. This building is also a tribute to many brave locals who had risked their lives while releasing the prisoners at war.

The Australian Garden, the English Garden, the Borneo Garden and the Contemplation Garden and Pool inside the Memorial Park is representing the different nationalities. Pine trees and blooming rose can be seen in this Memorial Park. Kundasang War Memorial is an ideal place to remember the heroes of World War II.

p/s Honor the past, treasure this moment. It is possible to live in peace..Peace No War.. (If u want to see the four gardens..take a rest from your busy life~ spend time with your loved one. hehehe..Visit Kundasang War Memorial, experience the feeling of peace, and remember the heroes of wars)
