Sabah, My Homeland

This is the meaning of a flag to the people of Sabah;

• The mountain on the flag symbolizes Mount Kinabalu, the well known and highest mountain in South East Asia in the State of Sabah, Malaysia Borneo
• The three different shades of blue color on the flag of Sabah symbolize peace and tranquility, unity and prosperity and strength and co-operation.
• The White colour symbolizes purity and justice.
• The Chili Red symbolizes courage and conviction.

This is the lyric of Sabahan State Anthem;

Sabah tanahairku,
Negeri kita yang tercinta,
Pemuda-pemudi semua marilah,
Bangunlah bersatu semua.

Marilah bersama serta maju jaya,
Merdeka sepanjang masa,
Bersatu segala bangsa sentosa,
Sabah negeri merdeka
